Yesterday, you said tomorrow. Just do it.

Updated: Mar 4, 2023

I was speaking with an over-scheduled CEO & he was telling me how "hard" it was to get started. Change can FEEL hard. COMMITTING to your health FEELS hard.

But you know what's even harder?

  • Not feeling comfortable in your clothing

  • Living tired every day

  • Not living to what you KNOW your potential is

  • Every day saying "I'll start tomorrow"

  • Trying' for a few days, giving up & feeling worse about yourself

EVERYTHING IS IMPORTANT UNTIL YOU LOSE YOUR HEALTH

Rather than continuing to wait-or even thinking that you'll wait until New Year's (again!)

START NOW

You know which poor habits need changing. Pick the top, tough 3 to work on first.

Remember: SIMPLE WINS

STRENGTH TRAIN: 10 minutes a day equals 60 hours over a year & you can TRANSFORM your body in 60 hours. Put on your favorite dance song and dance to it every morning. Bridging, wall planks, marching in place...keep it simple, but just start. Once you get moving, it is easier to keep going. Your body is designed to move. Even when you feel sick...it is still vital that you move.

SLEEP: Sleeping 5 hours instead of 7+ has been shown to hinder fat loss & your body's ability to produce its own HGH. Make sure you take your Vitamin D ( with a healthy fat) in the morning so it has time to help produce Melatonin by bedtime. Try taking a shower before bed. Journal...get the little voices out of your head and onto paper. Listen to the Calm app or listen to an audiobook and put the sleep timer on.

PLAN: you wouldn't go from LA to NYC w/o a detailed map would you?

You need a plan to get from where you are to where you want to do that is specific

for YOUR body- not a generic google search. Find what works for you! A great start is to think of when you felt your best and what habits were making you feel confident. Start one habit at a time, as it becomes second nature....STACK another habit on top of that one. There might be some trial and error, but stay curious and just keep trying. Little steps to big changes.

Most importantly, you are not alone! Assemble a team to support you. Share your goals with family, talk to your doctors and create baselines, find the right workout that makes YOU happy, and find others who enjoy it too.

We are three months into the new year and just started a new month- give yourself time to make a PLAN and schedule your health into your calendar just as you would a meeting with a potential multi-million dollar client. Make every effort to make it fun and see how something new can work. 12 weeks from now look back & SEE how much your body has transformed. I promise, your body & your health DESERVE it!
